Taylor Beckham
Years at Etowah: Coach Beckham is beginning his first year at Etowah High School and will be teaching math as well as coaching as a member of the baseball coaching staff.
Education: Coach Beckham went to school at the University of Tennessee where he studied Mathematics. He then transferred to Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, to complete his degree in Math Education.
Playing Experience: Coach Beckham played high school baseball at Middle Tennessee Christian School. He played shortstop and pitched all four years at the varsity level. He received all-district honors his sophomore, junior, and senior years.
Coaching Experience: This is his first year coaching high school softball. However, Coach Beckham began coaching high school baseball at Austin-East High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. He spent two years coaching the infield and hitting at Austin-East. When he transferred to Lipscomb University, he began coaching at Franklin High School. Coach Beckham was in charge of the outfielders at Franklin. In his one year at Franklin, the Rebels made it to the final eight teams of the state tournament. After two seasons at Franklin, he spent one season each at Eagleville High School and Middle Tennessee Christian School before moving to Georgia. After moving to Georgia, Coach Beckham spent one season at Pickens High School coaching baseball and basketball.
Family: Coach Beckham is proudly from Tennessee, where the rest of his family still lives. He moved down to Georgia last year with his wife. His wife, Chelsey, is the athletic trainer at River Ridge High School. Coach Beckham has been happily married for a little less than a year now.
