Victoria Brown Carter

 

Years at Etowah: Coach Brown is currently in her fifth year as a math teacher and Head Softball coach at Etowah High School. She also coaches girls basketball and lacrosse.

 

Education: Coach Brown graduated from Sequoyah High School in 2007 and attended Columbus State University on an athletic scholarship.  She transferred to Kennesaw State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.  Coach Brown received her Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education from Georgia State University.  Coach Brown also has her Gifted Certification through Cherokee County. 

 

Playing Experience: Coach Brown played softball in Cherokee County at Sequoyah High School. She was a member of the 2006-2007 State Championship team at Sequoyah. Upon graduating from Sequoyah, Coach Brown went on to play collegiately at Columbus State University. 

 

Coaching Experience: Coach Brown has 9 years of coaching experience at the high school level. She was a lay coach throughout college for her alma mater at Sequoyah under Todd Morrissey and upon completion of her degree joined the Varsity coaching staff at West Forsyth High School. Coach Brown has worked as both an individual hitting and catching instructor for all age groups around Cherokee County and beyond. Coach Brown is currently entering her fourth year as the Head Varsity Coach at Etowah High school where she has taken the team to the playoffs two out of her three years and last year advanced to the Sweet 16. 

 

Family: Coach Brown and her husband Tim Carter were married in November of 2015 and have a 6 year old lab named Cooper. Coach Carter's husband is a member of the Cherokee County Fire Department.
